Run the shortest belt you can on it and that should pull it out of the way, if not you may have to modify the headlight slightly, I ended up having to cut a slight notch in my headlight adjustment **** on my 99, dont know if its exactly the same on a eg though.

to be honest i bought the car with h22... so yeah... i dont know how it works and now i do regret getting it... the front is so so much heavier than bseries... cuz i want to track the car....thats why.. but if u want to drag it its fine.... but yeah...

as for the belt i tried it, and i dont want to cut the headlights.... its about like 1.5inches before the tab reaches the hole....

this has been covered somewhere on here before, i know, but isn't there a total weight difference of, like 40 pounds?

http://www.hondahookup.com/inf...q.php says the h22 weighs 200lbs more than a d-block, which isnt true because someone actually weighed the differences here: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=684550 so i know that there's some false info out there

according to your second link, where the guy actually bothered to weigh everything, there is a 35 lb weight difference. apparently that is "so so much heavier than the b series." that doesn't seem like that bad of a trade off for the extra torque and hp.

edit: sorry, i can't help with the headlight. i didn't mean to take this off topic, i just hate the misconception that "the h series weighs so so much more than the b series."

first you said you put in the motor, now you say it came w/ the swap. did you buy the motor w/ the car and just drop it in or what? as for your alternator clearance prob, wish i could help but im also looking for h22 eg swap info. from everything that ive gathered, shouldn't be too hard. just cutting the tranny bracket depending on what mounts you use and the holes for the shifter, and the axles... and it should drop right in.
have you read poison's faq in the hybrid forum?: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread/650329

lots of useful tech data for the swap. hope that helps

here's a pic of what it should look like in the bay:

With the hasport mounts, you will have to run the shortest belt you can as already stated and also trim a bit of plastic off the back of the headlight where the sounding area of the bulp protrudes out.

And no, an H is NOT that much heavier than a B series motor. I personally and not a fan of H swaps because I don't like dealing with cutting up my cars but the weight difference is negligible and can be corrected with proper suspension.

dude, this one guy just posted on one of my threads. he does a lot of work on mounts and suspension parts, even for eg's. go to his site: http://www.explicitspeedperformance.net/ i think he explains a different alternator bracket for clearance issues even tho its mostly for eh and ef's, shouldn't be too different from a dc or eg.

hope that helps
