Default unwanted smoke coming from muffler on 95 civic

When i hit the gas or rev up i have smoke that comes out of my muffler and when i go to wash my car it is black all in the muffler and gets on the rear bumper. is there any kind of cleaner i can put in my car or anything i can do to get rid of the smoke or make it more clear?

Elaborate a bit.. Is your car running rich? Burning oil? What color is the smoke?

to get rid of the black use a clay bar and then wax the area really well once clean... And is this opposed to wanted smoke?

do a compression test and u will know whats wrong with it. it is easy to do and only take no more than 20 mins. buy a compression test gauge from your local auto parts store
