Default 1994 Honda accord No spark

Gday guys i greet your from ozzy land lol

I have a lil bit of a issue with my accord the other day i just left my drive way and start my trip to work and my car suddenly made a weird whirling noise then lost power and eventually died.

Now i am mechanicly minded so first things first i checked the plugs and found oil in the sparkplug wells so i cleaned them out and resealed it no big problem .

I then placed everything back together tryed to fire it and got nothing so i pull off a lead and place a spare plug in there and try to see if we have any spark .

I got nothing so i pulled the dizzy cap and and the points in the cap had black crap on them as did the rotor button now i didnt have time to get a new cap and button so i just got some low grit sandpaper and sannded the **** of and i still have nothing

i was just wondering if anyone else has had these problems ?
And whats the easyest way find the problem

Should i replace the dizzy cap and rotor button and see if they work?

i know its geting fuel as i turned the engine over without the plug and the injectors are still pulseing

Had a similar problem, spark plugs were soaked with oil from a leaky valve cover gasket, cleaned everything and it still didnt start, plugs looked bad after i cleaned them so i bought 4 new plugs, fired right up.

id suggest its your coil. check with an ohm meter first before buying parts. i believe its pins 2 and 4 on the harness and of course the wire going to the dizzy.
