B17A1/B18A1....safe?
just bought a 1992 DB2 GSR all original.(p61-obd1)
- the engine is in running, but the car has been through too many hands and i keep finding small but significant problems.
** i also have a complete B18A1 sitting in my garage.
CAN i swap the b17 and DROP in the b18a1 without having to change computer or buy new harnesses while i rebuild the b17. ???

it will work fine 2 things exhaust, and ecu other then that you in
u will need a different ecu , keep the same wire harness u just won't use a couple of plugs.
Second the exhaust might not bolt up perfect, but u can figure it out.
hit the junk yard for a cheap 35 dollars ecu

Depends on what u wanna do, your lucky you got a couple different options.
turbo the b18a, ls tranny would be great for this set up
Then u could go lsvtec since u got a b17, using the head off the b17, and the bottom end of the b18a.
Then again u got a rare motor the b17, if i were u i would just swap in the b18a and rebuild the b17.
Then again u could pretty much go any route. u seem to have pretty much everything. good luck
