My cousin just told me that short shifters lower the life of your tranny, confirm yes or no for a gsr specifically, since i have a short shifter on mine and it grinds at 3rd and sometimes 4th. the grinds arn't too bad tho

 

Short shifters don't kill transmissions, people do. If you are going to shift like a made mad then yes over time you will kill a trans.

 

if it grinds then your syncros are going bad, and just dont constantly beat the **** outa your car or constantly slam it into the gears and youll be fine...

 

Newer Honda's and Acura's are known to grind, there is actually a tsb on them. And I have heard of some dealers fixing the problem for free, if your a good return customer.
