Yeah, finally have a home for my B16A1 that has been sitting in my garage since christmas. I randomly ran accross this guy in wilmington who had like 2 weeks ago over reved the car (it had a swap in it already) the valve spring and keeper broke, the valve went into the combustion chamber out of the valve guide and ugly **** happened. good news for me, bad for him. so I picked up the car for $800 the same day I bought the car I gave him a ride to a used car lot where he bought a 98' Ford Exploder, said he was tired of the import car world, poor guy, lucky john! So now I get to play with my new good deal. Good news is I got to keep his shot motor (has perfect block and crank in it! that is for sale if anybody is interested! ) This car has some good points and bad points. One for the bads, the guy spray painted the whole car with black flat spray paint and it has two dents in the rear quarter, but I have pulled the old motor and tranny and am sending it to the body shop next week, I am painting it 02' VW Beetle grey metallic, should look real nice. The interior of the car is in great shape, just one problem, the door panels, dash and all are black, the rear carpet set and seats are grey, and the front carpet set and seats are blue, talk about all the colors offered in the damn civics............other than that there is only one other bad side, he converted it to cable tranny, it has a Y1 in it.......I know some of you love your conversion, I just have always been a fan of the hydro tranny's. I think for now I am gonna leave well enough alone and drive it with it in there and see how I like it. Good sides are I got the car for $800 and it came with a set of 14" CRX si rims with Nitto 460 rubber.........gonna be good auto-X and drag tires to use up. In case anybody is curious what parts I have for the car they are as follows:

Energy Suspension master bushing/suspension kit
ACT 2600lb clutch set
Front STB
Clear corners
custom exhaust
Chipped P28 With Skunk2 programming w/revlimit@8500
replacing as much under the front end as possible ie: tie rod ends, etc.
new brakes all the way around, that is pads, rotors, hoses, hardware, etc.
new shiny paint job

To come soon as I sell my 92' Pontiac bonneville and random honda parts(anyone looking for a good car to drive to work! )

that is what I figured and why I jumped on the car. I have lots of work ahead of me but that is half of the fun of a project car. Anybody know of a good place to get new/used front fenders for under or around $100? I need two of those before she gets painted............

 

can there be wiring problems if he went with a cable tranny.. meaning did he drop in a pre 92 motor swap? that could be ugly but for $800 you are getting a car for free since you can sell the busted motor and **** for $800 -->EASILY
