Default Knew I had a valve cover leak but.../need semi urgent help

I knew I had a valve cover leak so I ordered a new valve cover gasket kit this morning. The paint was looking kinda ratty and I happened to have some paint stripper, paint and the afternoon free so I said WTH . Went to pull out the plug wires and one of them came out covered in oil so know I am WTF? Pull of the valve cover and I look in the #4 spark plug hole and I can see oil up almost to the top of the plug so now I am WTF!

So my question is HTF? do I go about getting the oil out of there so I can drive my car?

Twist up a paper towel and shove it in there a few times until you get most of the oil. If you have access to compressed air, blow it out (it's messy, but you can make it work without spraying it everywhere if you're not retarded). If you have a garden hose, you can shoot that in there until the oil floats out.

Your best bet, though, is the paper towel trick. Be sure to replace your gaskets afterward, as that's why the oil got in there in the first place.

Already knew that and if you read the first post I have already ordered a new valve cover gasket kit. I only need ideas to get the oil out of the spark plug hole.

Someone just mentioned to me a vacuum bleeder might work. Don't have one but I have been planning on buying one, now looks like it might be a good time.

the paper towel "trick" seems to make the most sense to me. its dumb and uncomplicated so, why not?

Trying it but there is a **** load of oil in there. With the plug in place it is difficult to get the paper towel down far enough to soak up much of the oil.

couldnt you wrap the socket with the paper towel? or just use a 3/8 6in extension to push the towel around the plug

I wound up using a drinking straw and a syringe. There was 2" of oil in one of the holes.
