Quick dumb Q
Hey I was checking on my EJ8 engine and noticed that the ground from the chasis was bolted to the power steering?! Doesn't it go to the valve cover? Can anyone confirm.
Cool thanx.By the way this ground is coming from near the headlight bolts. Is there any disadvantage to not have it connected to the valve cover?I mean does it matter or make a diffirence.
What??? Ok what's the correct way? Now im confused.I don't know if it goes on the power steering bracket or Valve Cover.Which one is it from factory?

I dont run it there at all. Looks nasty. As long as theres a ground wire to the engine itll be grounded. Almost everything attached to the motor can be used as a ground point.
if your really worried about it, get out the fluke and check it all out, if the valve cover grounds it out better hook it up there, if the ps bracket grounds it better leave it. you can always get some 8g spearker wire, and run multipule grounds straight to the negitive on the batt. seen that done alot, not sure how much it helps. they claim a few extra hp and tq, but i guess i dont have any dyno sheets proving this.
