ok i am currently building a 1994 b18c1. the block is bare and im really confused on which pistons i should go with. i was looking to go turbo but i dont really have the money to build the motor and buy all the turbo parts to go with it. my question is . would it be safe to run a 9:0 comp ratio with a good tune until i have the parts to turbo the car? the head will be a b16a2

well i found a set of arias pistons for sale on a kick *** deal .. and they are 9:0 flat top pistons .. http://www.atomicspeedware.com...s.htm ... part number AR-3310402
I'm not sure where you come from, but around here $495 for a set of pistons with rings is a pretty bad deal. You can get a set of new pistons in the Marketplace for around $435. Also, i would plan a bit more before jumping into something with this build. Granted, you can use 9:1 for most any turbo build, but just because its common, doesn't mean that its the best option for you. For example, i'm going to be running a 9.8:1 in my GSR on E85. There's no reason to drop the compression ratio if there's a fuel with an octane level high enough to support your goals.
