Default gsr b18c1 swap to a b18b1?

anybody swapped out their b18c1 and put in 1 b18b1? i hear i can get 6 to 10 more hp with the right kit, but im not sure...

You will loose power going with the b18b. Those are non-vtec and rated less hp then the b18c1. Most people do the opposite to gain power but feel free to do whatever u want

well i was just wondering. i blew my engine and have to get a new block anyways. i forgot to say it would be the b1 block with1 c1 head. thegood kits are like 150 and b1s are way cheaper. i really do want to put a c1 back on.

yup, but would my redline be the same? should i just get the c1 or get the b1 and the kit and do all the extra work?

mm i think you'd redline as if you had the ls motor. im not really sure. search up ls vtec. this topic has been covered numerous times. good luck

The redline on an LS/VTEC can be the same as the GSR <u>IF AND ONLY IF</u> you upgrade to ARP rod bolts on the LS rods.

yes its the eagle kit i looked at. i think i would rather just get a c1 IF i can get one for a reasonable price. it just sounds easier.
