h22a vs k20a

Do you mean "Cheaper" for the first-time installation cost or "cheaper" in the context of dollars per mile on the racetrack? I know some people who have had good reliability from the H and some who have had terrible luck with it. On the other hand, the K20 and K24 have proven to a good, strong, and reliable motor for racing.

I autocross my H22, and am always blowing cv boots on the passenger axle. Thats my only complaint. Once I fork out the money for a good axle, I dont think ill have the problem. Other than that I love everything about it.

Doesn't using a B-series trans help with that, for all the non-Prelude H-powered vehicles?

H22 is undoubtedly going to be cheaper. Another thing you might want to look into is the F20B, higher revving and higher compression but lower disp.
You could always just keep it an NA ls and put the money into driving school/suspension/tires. Not to mention if something happens to the ls, they are cheap and so are parts.
