Pass. Brake light won't light up
It's a '93 accord, and It doesn't stay on like many other posts ive found.
The warning light on the panel says "brake" or similar, so i've figured out it's the pass. side. So I bought new bulbs thinking it was the bulb but upon replacement its still dim (just the running light will turn on) if i have the headlights on. But no brake light. Driver's is fine. I took the new bulb out, and turned it around 180 degrees to touch the other contacts, and it lit up as it should, but in this position the light wont go into it's designated spot in the little connector, its only made to go one way since one side has a higher nub than the other. This was only enough to touch the contacts to light up, but it just popped out if i let go. BUT, it lit up both coils in the bulb like it should.
So I took the driver's side out and examined it and it was in there how it was supposed to be, and how I was putting the pass. side in. I tried it in the pass. side and it too was dim, only lighting up one coil in the light (running light) but not both of them (brake lighting). I have no idea if anyone has messed with anything as this is my girlfriend's car... but any ideas??
I'm not much of an electrical guy, so simple is always appreciated, haah.

You may want to try replacing the brake sensor that is located on the taillight housing. I have seen these go bad and not allow the brake lights to work.
