Good fuc*ing question....im also intrested....as my 89' crx is rocking a 99' d16Y8....but too bad all we have in the FAQ's is:
Transmission and Axle
How to Identify Si, DX and HF L3 transmission
How to take off transmission and Inspect Input Shaft Bearing
*Honda Transmission Gearing
*B Series Tranny Specs
*Tranny Calculator
*CRX Math (another tranny calculator)
Axle Replacement Tutorial With PICS!
*Notes about JDM L3 (DOHC) "ZC tranny"
LS 5th Gear Install guide! JDM B16 S1
*CRX WORLD Transmission Rebuild
Auto to Manual
funny but there is no definite writeup on identifying d13-d17 SOHC transmissions....people who rock hydro tranny's are SOL in the ef forum's FAQ....kinda weird no one has done this writeup.

This really does not apply to alot of people....with all the swaps out there today its pretty hard to buy a swapped car and kno exactly what year and model your trans came from....and I also dont wanna rely on goin 60 mph and then recording my RPM's to indicate what trans is installed....Im not lazy and am willing to jack the car up and look for some tranny codes or identifyers....just need to kno where to look.
but as it looks my trans is non-hydro and has the "gold sticker" and is visible...so im sending my wife to write down what the sticker says....i'd take care of it myself but im currently stationed in Iraq.
