I have smog coming up this next month, im running an obd1 Sohc vtec and was wondering if i could just mount the purge solenoid on the manifold and connect the vaccum hoses and not wire it in, like maybe run the little pig tail of the plug into the firewall hidden connected to nothing.

I say this because i did a wire tuck a year ago and eliminated the wiring for purge solenoid, and since it wont throw a code for that sensor, would i be fine to just leave it unplugged for Smog.
