with the EM1/CTR/Mugen front strut bar it attaches above the strut. On my 97 hatch the holes are there but filled in and painted over? its all OEM paint whats the deal? how can use them?

yea theye are just little rubber plugs... they will pull out and then you cant mount the bar no problem.

i've never seen a car with rubber plugs.

in my experience i've always drilled the holes for it.....thats what most people do when they need a hole and there isn't already one...........

Lay the bar on the spot were it should be take a marker and mark it. Make sure its on the right spot then take an automatic center punch or a punch and a hammer and make an indentation were your gonna drill, take a smaller drill bit and drill a pilot hole then take a bigger drill bit and drill it out to the bolt size. I think it was 8mm, take a long bolt a washer for the bottom side and a washer for the upper side and a nut bolt everything on and your good to go.
