Default CRX suspension

Yeah just bought another REX. (crx/ef thread-Got me another REX!!) Noobie to suspension. The REX has some stiff *** coilovers on. Not sure on brand. Anyways first of I want to adjust it so it sits higher, how do i go about doing that? Rides really bad on crappy streets with 17" rims it came with. I know there's two plates that turn on the bottowm do I turn it to my right to lower it and left to raise it higher? Both plates turn one direction or different directions? Need a manual or something, some explaination on how to? Noobie on suspension but these expletiveers will have to go, plan on getting some shocks/struts instead....

P.s. reading around some say don't get the Tokico BLUEs why now???didn't post reason....just want something afforable don't really care about hight long as rides smooth/comforable like stock or something...any suggestions let me know thanks!

do you have pics of the suspension you currently have??

i havnt looked at coilovers in a long *** time, but the 2diff plates durn the opposite ways, its basically like a lock nut to lock the other perch in place so the spring doesnt decide what height its at... im pretty sure the top one is supposed to spin counter clockwise and the bottom clockwise, if that doesnt work, try other way around, only 2 ways can go

for shocks/struts whatever you wanna call them, get koni yellos. they are the ultimate best, and can adjust how stiff/soft you want...

lets see some pics of your current setup...

Back in '03, I went with Tokico Blues and Eibach Sportline springs (lowers approx. 1.8" F, 1.5"R). It was affordable. At the time, I had no interest in adjusting my suspension setup. I didn't want to pay extra $$ for something I wasn't going to use. It's a stiff ride and handles nicely through corners. I think it functions well for the weekend hot lapper.

Apparently there is speculation about the quality of the Blues changing in the more recent times. This is why people have said, "Don't buy Tokico Blues." I have yet to form my own opinion on this matter.

Edit: Save your money up for the Illuminas & Ground Control coil overs. Or get Koni Yellows & Ground controls. Well worth the money and you'll be happy you did.

current set up? well freaken just had a big *** snow storm so will get no where near the REX till it clears I want to drive it tho ....
anyways yes I do want to get the koni yellow but kinda pricy/a tab up there I mean I can cough up the dough no problem but I got another REX and that ones all stock just not sure if I plan on keeping both REX each one will be diff. set up so a bit of delamia one's kinda more special than the other so not sure if I want the koni to got on this one....wELL i'll try it once stupid snow stormclears....but thanks

spcrxracer----so Blues ride stiff or was it just because of H&R springs? Me I don't care too much for ride hieght as long as it sit decent with rims its good..BUT has to ride smooth not stiff/hard as current gay coilovers...kinda want it to ride close to stock as possible but not spend too much below $450ish if possible?? othwerwise heard nothing but good about koni yellow so yeah...let me know thanks
