o.k my 94 accord used to do this rev thing when it shifted gears. (auto)
when the car is shifting from 3rd to 4th, the engine i think would go out of gear for a few seconds. It was cool, be cause while i'm driving, I could start revving my car. and when the car would down shift to gear 2 after slowing down to take a corner, it would would go out of gear again for a second. the rpms would go up, then back down to the correct spot. And (this I loved) when I would just pull onto the highway, I would floor it. It would down shift from 4th to 2nd. It would rev all the way to the limiter, then back down to 4000 rpms, and then the trans would catch. I used to love it when I did all thous, but now my car has a new transmission, and thous things now only happen rarly. 9ussualy when the engine is cold) so, I'm wondering what caused all thous synthoms??

You have a new transmission for a reason. It's not healthy to rev past the limiter, etc.

The car will downshift if you floor it. It's good that it happens rarely.

 

yah. the old one blew. It wouldn't revers no more.
