Dumb base idle question, I've searched the forum...
I cleaned out my IACV and the now the engine doesn't go "rrrum-WHUMP" when I rev it, but it still catches itself a little late, and sometimes the idle dips well below 700 for no reason (usually when going from park on a start to reverse). This leads me to think that I need to check my base idle.
HOWEVER, I cannot find what this exact number is for my car. The factory manual I have only lists operating idle as does the sticker under my hood, and my doopy dope Haynes manual gives me a range of "550-650rpm," which seems kind of imprecise.
Where can I find the base idle for my exact engine? It's a 1997 F22B2 automatic (I know...)
