Top mount GT35R CRX...Fit?
Hey all, I am trying to hunt down a top mount mani for an EF. I have searched around a little and have not found much. I have seen a few people make them for an EF but is there even enough room for a GT35R? Looking for options for the new build. My goal is 500+ whp on E85 so I may be able to achieve this on a smaller ball bearing turbo. Input welcome.
Thanks.
Thanks.
GT35R aren't much, if even any, bigger than a T3/T04. I haven't measured one but I bet the compressor scroll is within a 1/4" of the 7" diameter of a T04E/S cover, and I don't believe the turbine inlet flange to center axis distance, or other salient dimensions, are going to be any different.
Your problem is the classic one the ED chassis have... fitting everything in the first place. Whomever builds the manifold should be able to tell you.

Does anyone know of a company that makes a quality top mount for an EF? I was originally looking into a ramhorn style and may end up going that route. Thanks.
Talk to Bryson (Boostwerks)....he has a CRX and has made a couple topmounts that'll fit that. Having a chassis on hand, he can get you what you need, and his stuff is pretty good quality.
I could make it, but I honestly don't have an EF chassis local to me, that I know of, to actually make a jig.

I remember Bryson's personal car. I remember being annoyed by it, he made it look easy to stuff a big turbo in there while I was flailing around making a jig for my car that weekend to get my trademark merely okay homebrew fabwork. I'd send business his way.
