Default choosing right tires

I have a 1995 Honda Civic Ex lower 2.25 front and 2 in the rear. I got a set of G-Racing Kyoto rims 17x7's and I was cuious what size tire would work better. I'm trying to keep from spending too much on tires since i just replaced the tires on the car in November and going to keep them as extra set. THey are 15's so they wont work on the other rims.

Well, I wouldn't get 17" rims for that car, because you can't get tires in a good size to match that car. Even the smallest 17" tires commonly available, 205/40-17, are 3.6 percent bigger in diameter than the stock tires for that car. That's a huge difference. And on a lowered car, they're almost guaranteed to rub.

My recommendation is to go back to 15" (with 195/50-15 tires) or get 16" (with 205/40-16 or 195/45-16 tires).
