Default my speedometer is going faster than what i'm really going.

hello everyone. honda -tech
i have a question i have never seen this happen in a Honda before.
i just bought me a 91 honda accord. the speedometer is going faster than what i really am going. i noticed it wheni was on the highway driving it home. when i look at the speed on the dash it said i was doing 110mph and i'm not passing anyone.
and i gave my brother a call ( he was driving next to me in his car) and asked him how fast he was going; he said 75 mph.. i was like what the hell.
if anyone know whats going on please let me know. if anyone has the same problem please let me know so i can try to fit it without spending any cash .
thanks

your best way to get around it is to buy a new one. I did happen to my truck and all it was, was a spring that wasnt tight enough. if you know what your doing i would try to see if its the spring ot the wire. good luck and let me know how it works out.

i have check everything and it look ok..
i was thinking about buying a new cluster. but i ithink i might to try changing out the speed sensor. but we'll see..i'll let you kno later.
if anyone else have an idea about what is happening please let me know..i mean the rpm runs at the speed that it need to be but the speed for mph is too fast. i mean at 5 gear with 3000rpm the accord should be going at about 80 mph or so. but my speedometer is reading at 110to 115mph.
if this has happen to anybody please let me know how you fix it.
thanks
