so a buddy of mine brought this 91 dx shell that had a b16 in it. he wants to put his turbo zc in it. apparently, who ever had this car before him did a real hack job on the wire harness. i fixed all the wires for the mpfi conversion, but there are some other wires cut that need fixing. inside the engine bay on the driver side where the engine harness has the big round connector that connects to the car, on the car side there are two yellow wires with black lines. aparrently someone cut both wires and striped them and was playing with something. so i figured there is only 2 ways this can go. so i connected them one way and turned on the key. i heard a huge buzzing sound and went to check what it was before i can find what it was gas starts pouring out the front of the head, so i figured it was the full pump. but i mean it dident sound like a normal fuel pump, fuel was pumping through at an alarming rate. so i switched the wires around and turned the key back on and it seemed kinda normal, but i dident get no crank. so i am going to check some more wires, just wondering if anyonee know what those two yellow and black wires are
the 2 yellow/black wires in the DX harness are power from the Main Relay - one went to the main injector and one to the auxilary injector - when you do the MPFI swap, these 2 wires get connected together and then connect to the yellow/black wire from the injector resistor box

ok, so i would assume the thicker one is the main wire and the smaller one is the aux. but on the harness comming straight out of the firewall on the driversside both wires are the same sized. if the do both spice intoeachother at the resistor box it really shouldent matter which way they go. but when i have them hooked up one way it constanly floods the car out with gas.
you said that you fixed all of the wires for the MPFI - i don't understand how you could have "fixed" all of the wires if these 2 weren't connected - sounds to me like you need to start over on the MPFI wiring - what did you have connected to the yellow/black on the resistor box? - sounds like you have some wires switched

the two wires commiming from the fire wall on the drivers side where cut when i got the car. when i siad i fixed the wires i was talking about the other injector wires, ive done over 10 mpfi conversions, i know i to do them with my eyes closed. i just never incountered the drivers side harnes being hacked for some unknow reason. i am not talking about the harness going into the resistor box, i am talking about the actual wire harness comming out the drivers side fire wall. it the yellow and black wires are cut before the big round plug. there are a bunch of the same wires in that harness, they are not all the same
