Default KOYO Racing Radiator Question

I just installed the 2 inch aluminum koyorad radiator, took it for a test drive and I noticed that my temp gauge still goes to the same place it always has. I just want to know if thats normal or did I do something wrong?

I just changed the radiator and nothing else so hoses, fan switch, and thermostat are all stock.

yeah, i opened the nipple valve in the back and then put water in the radiator and waited until water started coming out of the nipple with no bubbles, then i closed it. My fan works but as for my thermostat its stock and I have never replaced it. (what do you mean by stuffed?)

its supposed to be at the same place. Your car should be at normal operating temperatures. If you want it to be cold all the time then just remove your thermostat. Although i don't recommend it.

Yeah your normal operating temp will be at the same place. that is because of that is mostly regulated by the thermo stat.

The fans will have to work less to keep you at normal conditions when you start pushing your car.

Yes for the koyo racing rad you have to buy THEIR cap (which is a pain in the ***) but if you buy their oem replacement rad then you can use your stock cap. Thats the only thing about koyo that i didnt like, i dont see why they cant just include the cap...

Whats the average temperature in your zone?

With the koyo on my car this time of year, the more you get on it the colder the temp goes. My assumption is because of all the extra coolant making flow through the radiator at high speeds/cold temps. But its awesome none the less. Like one time at a dyno session, we forgot to turn on the big fan infront of my car. We did like 15 back to back pulls and it was still running at half temp

i just bought a Type A buddyclub 1.3 bar.. fits nice and tight, and works like a charm.

I noticed the temperature bar is in exactly the same position it was with the oem radiator.

Also i mounted to high flow 12" fans to the radiator, and unpicked the stock fans connectors and put them on the high flow fans.
