Default Anything I shoud be aware of before pulling tranny off block?

Hey again,

sorry for seperate threads but I usually get all my answers faster this way. Im pulling the tranny off the block tomorrow once the motors pulled and besides backing the bolts out and supporting the tranny while doing so, is there anything I should know?

I assume I just pull it away from the block? Thanks

Did you start working on this yet?
If not then set $100 aside (for gas, tolls, food&cigs) and I'll come down this week.

Couldn't you just make one thread for all your problems.

Your team sucks. Your post is pointless and completely off base. STFU and GTFO.

Totsie,

It's a simple matter removing all relative hardware that bolts the trans to the block. I would have someone on hand to help you handle the transmission once it is free. If possible, if the block is on an engine stand, it would be ideal to use something on the transmission to take any pressure off of the bolts and what not, that is connecting it to the block.

Good luck and watch your toes.

No need to get offensive HB. We just meant that there is nothing much to be "aware" of before pulling the tranny.

He already said he will "back out the bolts" and he will "support the tranny". Frankly, i dont see how much more helping your post is either, ie.repetitive...

No need to get offensive? Tell the other members to be a bit more helpful instead of acting like a bunch of junior high kids with their stupid fuking jokes. Totsie is a nice guy and been around for a while. His question shouldn't have warranted a bunch of dumb *** responses.

You've been here for a week. Who the hell are you? We confirm things to one another, and re confirm. You never know when a problem will arise and from where. From all the motors I've pulled, built, blown...I can definitely appreciate reconfirmation.

Fine, get offensive...
Who the hell am I????? WTH, what kind of answer do you want from me? Who the hell are you?

I already said we meant there wasnt anything to be aware of, which was his question. I only said for someone to get as offensive as you did about our posts, your response was the same as the OP's only worded differently. Anyways, I dont mean to start an e-war with you or anyone else. Neither should you.

PE to you HB
If you further wish discuss this with me, please pm me. No need to pollute totsie's post anymore than WE did.

LOL everyone who posted a reply knows the OP personally.

Anyway, the tranny is pretty easy to seperate from the block once you pry it a little bit to get it started.

Sounds good guys. Thanks for the input.

Rob,

I actually got everything done on Saturday, other than officially pulling the motor. Hopefully doing that tonight. The problem is really stripping down the block and head correctly. I've done the head before, but the block is a different story completely. I have a buddy who's done it 100 times before, but his gf is almost 9 months pregnant and he has become hard to get ahold of haha
