Invest in a name brand shifter or if your on a tight budget get a gsr shifter.
had one in my car for about 8 months.... then it broke off in my hand while shifting to second. Could have been my fault but i have yet to break my skunk2

I have a cheap Megan Racing single bend short shifter -- it's held up fine and it only cost $25 bucks shipped.. Granted, if I could choose again, I'd select a single bend skunk2 shifter, but this one works fine paired with a Skunk2 weighted shift ****.
good quality, single piece of metal, i have one with a stock GSR **** and love it:

If someone is selling a name brand shifter, like Skunk2 or something, I would trust ebay as long as the seller has a good trade rating. I would stay away if the shifter is off brand or if the seller is faulty
