Ok well i was driving like 45mph in fifth gear, this is with a b17 ys1 tranny to give you an idea. well my car just starts loosing power like it was running out of gas (i was low on gas so thought it might be that). no sudden stop or jerk just a smooth slow down. well after putting gas in it it didn't sound right starting. well had it towed and took of the valve cover to see my timing belt is loose still there but loose. well do you think it could have caused damage to the head with the valves and so on?? should i just see if it was my tensioner or timing belt and fix it??? anyone who has been in this situation please help me before i go spending money i don't have thanx.

 

Set the timing belt position and tension properly and perform a compression test.
