Hello all,
I recently got this done from my uncles shop in Van Nuys.
Valve Adjustment, with new Valve cover gasket and B ring gaskets.
Clutch Master cylinder
Clutch Slave cylinder
Alternator Belt
Thermostat
All the parts were honda parts. His boss ended up charging me 431.00. Parts and Labor. I was kinda expecting less. Most of my friends when I got home said I got ripped off.
What do you think?
THanks,
Doug

What does your invoice break down look like for parts and labor?
I would say about $200 in parts
Master Cyl - $120
Slave Cyl - $60
Valve cover gasket $10 or $30 for the entire kit
so that leaves $230 for labor and taxes. That all depends on shop rates at the dealership (usually higher than the local garage) 3-4 hours labor would ding you about $200. That seems like it would be about the going rate. No deal for having family there it seems!

thanks alot for the replys. After I got that installed I realized that I could have probably done it myself with the right tools. Oh well, live and learn.
Thanks,
Doug
Thanks,

If you wanna feel better, give honda a call on monday and ask them for a quote for all that stuff. Since you got all OEM stuff, that price is about right. Might have saved about 30% if you went with oem replacement parts.
