Default JUst finshed poslishing wheels should i clear coat them?

I just finished polishing the lip on my gf's 2 piece bmw wheels and i was wondering if i should try to clear coat them now. I bought the dupli-color high performance wheel clear but am hesitant to do it. I spent hours stripping off the old cracked and scrachted clear, sanding out the scratches and polished them. I am worried it will come out like crap or i will get runs. What do you think will be better? I want to put the clear on so i dont have to polish them weekly lol or has anyone used that zoop seal stuff?

You could try to clear them. I'd just give them a good scrubbin' every couple months.

Yup, forget the clear, i cleared my polished lip and it started coming off after a couple months. Just doesnt have anything to bond/stick to. I just used some Meguirs aluminum polish everytime i washed the car and never got any oxidation or anything

My buddy and I repair rims on the side. We usually use a 3 coat clear process when we finish up. When it hardens it makes it easy to clean.
