Wellmy fellow crx EF-ers I went and got another REX it's a 91 HF I believe things basically almost all done has and LS swap w/ b16 tranny here's the whole list of things it's got/done to it by seller....picked it up for $2900

Engine: B18b1 internally stock with perfect compression. the engine has brand new ngk v power plugs with brand new wires, a brand new distributor, an aem intake, a 4-1 header with a 2.5 inch collector, 2.5 inch straight pipe, full skunk2 2.5 inch exhaust, Brand new Aluminum Racing Motor mounts, jdm b16 cable trandmission (J1)(no grinds.) the engine has just under 70,000 mileson it and the transmission has just under 60,000.

Car: The body is basically brand new. New quarters, new fenders, new two stage paint, new rockers,No scratches no nicks, no chips, no dents, new vis carbon fiber hood, si-r mudflaps, si-r trim in rear, needs passengers door trim, mint 1995 honda civic ex seats bolted in at 4 points not loose!!!!, jdm amber corners, jdm antenna block off plate, new front and rear bumpers, drag wheels 17 inch with good tires, an SI lip, jdm gsr cluster, radio block plate, no climate control, pioneer deck, tilt jdm column, integra proportioning valve for the rear disc brake. rywire 0bd0-0bd1, chipped p06, civic half radiator, new hoses, si spindles, full race traction bar with custom mounts for the radiator, brand spankin new gas tank with a walbro 255lph fuel pump, battery relocated to behind passenger seat with a kill switch in between.

Only bad thing right now is the cars lowerd with some coilovers on OEM shocks?with the 17" rims and ***** freaken stiff so when I drove it off from the buyer pot holes and **** caused engine to spill oil or something gotta get it checked and fix the height of the REX as well as throw on some new rims for a better ride (currently has summer tires, winter now) But I'm not gonna drive it out till it gets nice. OH also gotta get the ECU chipped didn't have it chipped I guess? Oh well $2900 good deal for me worth it I'm good

I'll keep the LS swap w/B16 tranny for now and try to restore the back interior(gutted) and a few things here and there inside willl make this one my daily driven summer car

The guy had brand new body on it and everything chasis has ~120k.... but when I went to have a look at it I couldn't even test drive it unless I was sure i was going to buy it because of the brand new body+the snow condition right now...he didn't want me to drive it and have snow/salt on it and not buy it which I understood I'd be the same ...but crap for that price I got it for, it's a steal just about, everythings almost done on the REX......I know the car alone by parts are worth well more than $2900 I only basically paid for the paint/body work/labor

****P.S. anyone know what kinda wiper arms I can use for the REX or does it has to be REX wiper arms? The guy took them off so no wiper arms gotta fix up a few minor things here in there otherwise the REX basically 98% restored/completed so my plan is get engine checked out, daily drive it and go LS VTEC later on??if not save more dough and one day K20

 

did you honestly say that pot holes and bumps caused the engine to spill oil?? would you mind explaining what the h*ll you are talking about here. That does'nt make any sense nor does it sound very good if it is true.

 

I know doesn't make sense but smelled like oil so it was something(hopefully nothing too major), riding low as hell on gay coilover with 17" rims and pot hole don't help...besides it was kinda late when I bought the REX so I couldn't see from where on the engine this was coming from...so gotta go check on it today, it's stored up plus have to get a new battery for it....but yeah hopefully it's nothing...IT WAS BAD damn pot holes and stiff *** coil ovrs didn't help

Went and got a new battery for the REX and checked out the "oil spill" seems like it's leaking a bit form the gaskets head/bottom of block?...didn't look long at it, but maybe cuz the guy had new gaskets on there might be a problem somewhere with gaskets?...BUt the stiff coil overs and pot hole didn't help threw it around, crap ***** so low I think the pot holes and what not dented my headers didn't see any hole or cuts so looks good still don't think it was like that when I bought it....well didn't have a camera but manage to take a few crappy photo with my phone so here guys...

Yeah I looked at it at the time when he had the poor mans type R in there **** was quick when I was in it! Well I anit really going to do too much just daily drive it and go from there....

spill the beans! what he do? haha looks pretty clean though... cant complain...

 

bounced rev limiter when he got mad, drove it to red line almost everytime that he did drive the car and a few other things lol

 

hahha explains no more chiped ECU ?? when I bought it ....aawh I'll handle it get the one he gave me and get it chipped then I'm good to go and make it my daily driven/ summer beater otherwise seemed liked he "babied" the REX got two other cars so no problem if it's down for a while which it isn't.... guys seems kool now he's working on the lude so yeah...

 

redline aint bad... its a honda.... long as its in tip top shape... hell my chits almost always above 4, i beat on it all day and night... good luck with it!!

I didn't need the car but it was calling my name so had to buy it...freaken new body work and paint saves me money so why not right...**** who doesn't rev/redline their **** sometimes? I do on my other cars just not all the time -cuz I still need to drive it Well soon as I take care of the minor stuff it'll be all done/finish for me and time to work on my other REX & Civic (daily drive the new REX ) It runs just need new ECU/ chipped looking for a manual p28 localy+cheap otherwise $300 for one running it on a auto p28 still to the new REX
