Default AIRBAG DEPLOYED SEARCH!! CLOCK SPRING!

air bag deployed after a slight accident...ok so i can buy a set of air bags and a computer..but i was wondering if i needed to replace the clock spring...do they go bad after the air bags deploy? thanks a lot honda-tech in advance!

It's rare that they melt but it does happen. You can kind of test it with an ohm meter (digital multimeter). First, unplug it at the bottom of the column and leave the airbag out. Put your probes across the 2 wires on each end. They should show an open circuit. If either side shows a short, the clockspring melted together and needs replaced. After you verify it is not shorted, put one lead at the bag end and one at the other end to test for continuity through the wires. If they show continuity, you are good to go and reuse it.
