the PS9 ECU is the factory ECU for the D16A6 engine in the 90-91 Civic EX with automatic transmission

the cooling fan should turn on when coolant temperature reaches about 195 degrees - first, check fuse #15 in the under dash fuse box - if the fuse is o.k., check to make sure the fan motor is o.k. by running wires directly from the battery to the fan, black/yellow positive and blue negative - if it is o.k., check the cooling fan switch, which is on the back of the block next to the oil filter - should have a big round black boot on it - unplug the connector and connect the 2 wires together - turn on ignition and the fan should come on - if it does, then the switch in the block is bad - if it still doesn't come on, check the fan relay which is on the passenger side inner fender panel just behind the headlight - see attached

right now i my computer is throwing code 20 witch is ELD that i know, would that cause my car to not let the thermostat open and let the water threw? and its a 1990 civic with a 92 engine and the temperature switch plug isnt there but the temp on the gauges goes up and stays in the normal mark but i know its hotter than that because the hose's are streched. any answers?
