Default CEL is throwing me off?

so my CEL has been on and staying on. after some searching i found out it was the TPS sensor. i fixed it and now my CEL comes on everynow and then. ive been having crazy issues with my batt and alt lately so i pull the carpet to count the lights and it is giving me 17 fast blinks. ive been told it doesnt do that it should not blink more than 10 times. i swear it is though. i know 17 fast flashes when i see them i read through the FAQ and code 17 is speed sensor. is this what my CEL is or what? any help would be great!

thanks

yes, 17 blinks is the VSS - all OBD0 ECUs for the D-series engines do not have long and short blinks, only short

Likely your speedo is off anyway, even fixing your CEL for the vss likely won't change the calibration. If your navi and speedo don't match I bet your wheels are different size than factory? that will throw it off by a few mphs for sure.
