I just replaced my new hood.
Is it an OEM honda hood? You must have forgoten to give the details, as you gave us barely any info. It looks like you bought a shi**y aftermarket hood to me, if I had to guess.

Or if its an oem hood, the fenders are mis-aligned..it's a 20 year old car with thin panels after all..
Have you messed with the hinges already?

the fenders are going to have nothing to do with that, unless the upper rails are down and neither are the hinges. when you push on that corner of the hood does it actually push down and align but bounce back up, or will it not go down?? if it does'nt go down any further than its hitting something, most likely the rubber adjustable stopper, so adjust it, or it could be hitting the rad support if its bent. if the hood does go down when you push on it then dropping your hood latch will help only if the other side aligns the same way. If none of these are the case than either your striker on the hood is'nt hitting the latch straight when it closes cause the hood to twist, or the hood is just tweeked, put a block of wood under the center of the hood, let it rest on the wood, have someone else put down pressure on the other side and you push down on the high side of the hood and tweek it down until it lines up. be carefull if you tweek the hood too much you can put a buckle in the sheet metal.

THe reason i got this after hood was becuz the original bumper was sealed shut to my bumper so my buddy did something stupid and pulled the hood release cable and ripped it. so i was totally F***ed. we tried prying it open with any in our sight. so we finally got a 2-3 inch gap between my hood and my bumper and managed to open it. The hood i bought was an aftermarket hood from this local Honda and acura dismantling place. i replaced all the weather striping and plug and what not. I put my hood on and i thought it had closed fine then i had realized that on the driver side of the hood was sticking up about an inch. I think i might have damaged the T bar perhaps. lemme know if you guys need more details. sorry for the shitty details. Im totally ADD!
if that hood is carbonfiber, u get what u pay for. If its metal, take it off the car, lean it up on a wall. Make sure u throw some rags on the edges. And apply pressure to that area, thats what I had to do for my metal zc hood and that was the fix. Those hoods are like paper thin..... LOL

you don't lean it on a wall to flex it because you have no idea how much you are flexing it. what are you gonna do test fit in on and off the car 5x before it lines up correctly?? to flex a hood you put a 2x4 under the center, have someone brace the opposite side and you push down of the side you want to bend as i explained.
If you push down of the right side and it makes the left side bounce up it sounds like your striker is not entering the latch on a dead straight line causing it to pull the striker over when it closes, hence twisted the hood when it sits closed. Or you need to drop your latch. It really is too hard to properly say what the problem is without seeing it in person. or take more pics.

Yea I have this exact same problem on my sedan with a factory hood and it hits the valve cover on a d16a6 with stock mounts....I can't for the life of me figure out why it would do that. I even cut out a piece of the metal ribs where it was hitting and it still hits in that spot.
