you cant just clear over cracked area, you need to sand it down, which might or might not mess up the "art" work

 

if it were me i would try to salvage parts of the art work but tone it down quite a bit...

the idea and potential are there

 

well i wanna keep the paint job in a way they told me if i wanted to reclear they had to sand it a lil bit but it might mess up the airbrush if i do paint it i want championship white i think thats the name imma try to see if sum1 can save the paint on it thanks guys

my advice to you sell that one, cause i bet you could get some money for a paint job like that then get a white civic then use the rest of you money on it.. thats deff what i would do... why waste a paint job like that, not my taste but someone elses i bet. just let the other person worrie about the clear...

I agree. If you want a white one sell your car. I'm sure there are other people out there that would love to have a car with that job on it. (You could take your system and what not out). Its not my taste but there is a market out there to it. Depending on how much you could sell it for, you might make off pretty good in the deal (i.e. extra $$)

If the clear is actually cracking in some spots you're probably kinda screwed. Have some take a paint thickness gauge to the car.

call body shops around the area and ask if there is a way to fix it . make sure you go to professionals , not a "backyard autobody . it depends on how deep the cracks are . salvage the paint job if you can !!! im wondering why after that much work and 5gs why the clear is cracking . i understand its a daily driver but damn . if you re-paint this this your going to be throwing all that money away . like everyone is saying sell it and buy a white one .

well its been on the car since 03 and it snows where im from so the weather beats its up a lil i guess thats y its starting to crack

you guys dont know how to appreciate good work when you see it do you? it might not be nice on a civic but on like a classic old *** truck slammed it would look sick. at least the painter did a nice job

secondly, its not my car so i dont care what it looks like. im a fan of good work not looks. and i can tell you that it took LOTS of work to do that airbrushing.

thirdly, id like to see one of you guys dissing do a sick airbrush paintjob better then that. dumb kooks

at least someone knows that its not easy to do a paintjob like that

anyone can spray a single stage paintjob

but can anyone airbrush some ill stuff on a entire car?

my car is black pearl with shitload of blue flake shot over it, then some more **** cuz they out way too much blue flake the first time...
