my ep3 with k20a2 engine has about 100k on it and i beat on it and race it all the time, i just keep good maintenance on it! highmileage hondas are fine, just make sure there are no oil leaks and things like that

I know the feeling of being afraid or whatever of a high mileage car. But I recently bought a 2003 RSX S and it had 76,000 miles on it and within a month it now has a little over 80,000. The car runs and starts fine no issues just try to buy whichever one is closest to stock and has no mods whatsoever and looks good and has no leaks etc. Good car I have no issues and I sometimes beat on it for the fun of it and the sounds.

You just proved the stock RSX's get beat on also. Don't be afraid of a nicely modded car. Make sure no corners were cut.

Very true....Also what stops a person from taking off all his mods and going back to stock. First thing I would do is do a quick compression test and then test drive.

mmmmm they just lowered the price on both of them, white one with higher miles is now only 6500 and is emaculate.....silver one is 6900 with 100,000 on it and its still in very good condition.....**** 150,000 still scares me, but like i said, i only need it to last 3 years will the k24 steps in.....we will see what happens this weekend.....

this quote should be stickied

TS i wouldn't worry about, if you're worried about it, take it to a mechanic and have him look over it, costs like 50 bucks

That's very true and I agree with you 100%. My point that I was trying to make is that it is less likely a stock vehicle was beaten on than a modded one. But those who mod a car and put it back to stock I can't stand. And well I was actually looking a modded RSX before I bought mine.

True but how many people that could afford a RSX/EP would beat on it? Maybe the rare rich fool, but for the most part, most cars are taken care of. My CRX had like 4 or 5 owners and no problems at 212,000 miles.

i bought my 02 rsx-s in 03 with over 36k miles on it. then i turbo charged it with 78,500 miles on it, and it now has 93,732 miles on it and it still pulls hard in every gear, runs great, compression test was great, great gas milliage, etc...

its like most hondas, theyll run 4ever if you take care of them. i do all the maintanence myself, give it regular oil changes with synthetic oil, and only the best spark plugs, and i only run 93 oct. i rarely beat on it and when i do, its not for extended times, just a quick vroom vroom psshhh!!!! to say hahaha to some V-8 guy or an EVO / STi next to me. lol
