PICS! Is our fuel cell bar legal for BOTI, NHRA, NOPI, etc.
I just bent up and tacked in the bar to make our fuel cell "enclosed in 1 1/4" CM tube" and I'm wondering if this is enough to be legal for BOTI and other sanctioning bodies. Will the bar have to wrap around more of the cell or do you think its legal as it is?
I probably also need to bend up a bar for the fuel pump or relocate it to be inside the frame but I'm hoping I can get away with the fuel pump where it is (but I'm guessing no)

i believe the rule says it has to be within the frame rails. the roll cage is considered the frame so i would imagine it would pass. send a pic to nhra to be 100% for sure.
That tube needs to be 1''1/4 065wall. And the feed should point the opposite way cause all the fuel is rushing to the back. Dam physics and If I were a tech I'd tell you to go home

"Dam physics" Ha Ha. I have foam in the cell which should keep the fuel feed in the front from being a problem, we'll find out. Obviously this is just a mock up motor.
So you think the tube is no good?... and yes it is .065" CM 1.25" tube. Thanks.

I would listen to the GOOD advice given to you, I do not recommend having the feed facing forward, It is a serious issue.
Also, I have mixed emotions about foam in the cell. 9 out of 10 times it breaks down or falls off from where it was cut, and just ends up in your injectors or clogging a filter.
If you need further explanation on the cell from a profesional, Call Brett at Aeromotive. (techline) He is a great guy, and really smart about fuel system setup.
Good luck with the build
