which one do you do? every 3k miles (months dont matter) or every 3 months (miles dont matter)?

Lately, i have put 3k miles in my car within 1.5 month

i do every 3k miles. cuz usually that comes up before 3 months. either/or is good practice.

 

I try to push myself to change it every 2500 miles, with 5W-30 Mobile 1 Super Synthetic oil.

 

You should do whatever comes first....3 months or 3000 miles. However, if you only get like 1000 miles in 3 months cause you only drive it every other day, then it would be adviseable to wait a little longer.

You should really change the oil depending on how you have driven your car.
IE. I change my oil after long road trips and more often during autocross season.

i do 3000 miles with mobil 1 synthetic. or if i go to the track i change it before and after no matter how much milage it has.

 

vtec eats oil, its good to check your oil every once in while.
