Shame!
My 76 and 73 year old Grandparents were robbed when they stopped at a rest area on their way to Tampa. My grandmother gave up her purse with the extra keys, and one of the guys ****** my grandfather's keys and threw them in a storm drain at the rest area. A good samaritan used a slim jim to open their door, and my grandfather had a gray key hidden in the car that only starts the car and opens the door.
My Question is - how can I replace their remotes that opened the door? and both of their door keys - cheaply. I am a nurse at a cancer center in Tampa and not wealthy by a long shot. Someone told me I can get the remotes on EBAY and they are self programming, but what about their actual black keys that matched the ignition, doors, and other areas of the car? Geico won't cover because the car itself wasn't taken.
Crushed grand-daughter

WOW!! that is sad... what some people will do these days is total
the only problem is the same key is for both the door and ignition, they could get different lock cylinders in the doors. but they would probably have to have 2 keys one for the door one for the ignition. I work with geico and stolen cars everyday... shhhhhh!! (don't tell) (Im a recovery agent for a tow company) you probably shouldn't do this but destroy both key holes with a screwdriver ignition and door then geico would have to replace everything. just a thought I would be pissed if that happened to me personaly but for it to haapen to my G parents?? who ever did it would NEVER want to run into me he would definitly be crying for his mama.
I guess I should ask are they worried about the guy coming back and actually stealing the car?? what year is the car??

My Uncle is a part manager at honda and i needed new keys for y alarm and auto start that were from the factory. so he was ordered them for me. I would first try Honda if all honda fails go to amazon or ebay.
cheapest easiest solution IMO...get an aftermarket alarm thet'll give you 2 new remots..soryy to hear about the fam..all theives should have there ligimits stripped from their body with a rusty nail
around my parts you can get a decent alarm installed for 300ish
