Starter spins, but not engaging the engine. (Already searched)
Sup guys! I have a problem. As I was coming home from school to have lunch, the car was fine. Starts up awesome.
As I was about to go to schoool, I turn the key, and I hear the starter spin, but I'm assuming the engaging gear is not engaging...
Does this happen often on cars? All the post I heard from was from manual cars. Mine is an automatic. Should I remove the starter?

Yea it sounds like its not making contact with the flywheel. My experience with honda starters is that they just die. I would unbolt the starter from the car and try and bump the ignition to see what it does.
All righty Thanks guys for the pretty quick reply. I just took it out. (PAIN IN THE BUTT!!!!) and seems the flywheel is in good condition. I'm going to head on down to Kragen and check it out.
I guess it seems starters break down pretty early on Honda... 100,XXX

All righty. An Update.
Went ahead and just bought and installed Autozone's Duralast remanu. Starter. Starts up great and pretty quick. It's like 1.5 turns before it starts. ~$110.
I got the old starter diagnose and tested, and it works apparently. but the engaging gear comes out slowly. So I'm pretty sure the solenoid is going bad.
All in all, took me 2-3 hours to fix uninstall and install. (Had to replace radiator hose also)
Thanks guys!
