Default Euro R door panel retrofit??

I have been seeing a lot of the Cl7 door panel for sale recently, for a very good price. What I would like to find out is has anyone tried this yet. Bascically does anyone have any experience out there that has messed around wit the Euro R door panels. Would they fit on a CD5 or CD7 door.

Now before I get blasted, I the back seat of a Euro R in seude and alcantra I belive. this is what I plan to install on my back seat since the leather on my EX is shot. It's very close in dimensions and I'm just wondering.

Again please dont answer with the they not the same, I just wanna hear if anyone has tried it

With the CD chassis?

Doubtful, They're closer to the CG chassis than anything, and even that wouldn't fit.

The only one that's cross platform (other than ours CD > CD) is the TSX/ Accord EuroR

TSX = Accord, there's no TSX Euro R or Accord Type R in that year.

The Accord Euro R, is the equivalent of the TSX, which all those panels are direct swap (refer to the TSX forum, there's a guy who did it)

The Accord Type R / older Euro R doesn't fit anything, as we never got that chassis in US.

The Accord SiR is the equivalent to our CD Chassis (94-97) which alot of parts are avaliable.

Hope that clears stuff up

Hey I know that boss. Spare me the history on accords etc, I want to know if anyone has attempted to use either the TSX or euro r accord door panels on a CD5 or 6 or 7. Muffin man calm down with the reply that is not given anyone any info. THe TSX is very close in many ways to the 5th gen, don't tell me otherwise.

Wow, holy expletiveing **** dumbass.

How the hell is a TSX any way similar to a 5th gen accord?

Please end yourself, I tried to be helpful, not rude, etc.

So spend all the money to buy the panels, and ignore what I said to you. And find out they won't fit.

The god damn doors aren't even the same dimensions. CHRIST.

Not to mention the CD7 is a coupe, which is NO way similar to a TSX.

AND the CD5/6 are the same damn thing.

*edit* Not to mention I told your dumbass it wouldn't fit, but would in the American TSX.

You don't even know what you're talking about - refer to your last post, there has never been an Accord Type R that is in anyway compatible to anything the USDM has seen.

And a TSX Euro R is nothing, doesn't exist, there's an Accord Euro R that shares the same stuff as the TSX, but that's all.

what it sounds like to me is he wants to modify the panel to fit the door and by the time you do that you would have to cut it put them back together and probably paint to cover your work, after all that you might as well just recover your factory panels!!

LOL. Calmdown.

I will get on this myself and see what I can come up with. If we can put in h22, NSX calipers, 5 lugs, etc Im sure we can all understand that we can come up with some good interior retrofits just like we been doing. THis site is based on the Modifications of all kinds of hondas. I have the same 5th gen accord as yourself. So give the thread a brak unless u got some input on what I am asking thanxs.

I do have input on what you're asking.

No one has tried it because a car built 7+ years later, with completely different chassis/frame/etc is not going to fit. You can look at the doors from the outside and tell they're completely different.

The reason the H22 fits, is because *SURPRISE* the CD chassis accord CAME with an H22 in other countries.

The reason 5 lug fits is because *SURPRISE* you're replacing the entire assembly down there.

The reason NSX Calipers fit is because *SURPRISE* you have to change out everything and mismatch, NSX calipers, Wagon rotors, v6 brackets.

The reason why interior door panels will not fit is because *SURPRISE* Honda completely redesigned the car ground up, and *SURPRISE* it shares 0 components with the CD chassis.

Why people refuse to believe this I'll never know.

Seriously, buy them, ghetto rig the living **** out of it, and I will laugh.

Please explain to me, in detail, why you believe the TSX door panels will fit a car that's 10 years older.

I would love to hear it.

vs

So let's see
- rear door is completely different shape
- front door is completely different shape
- different door skin (obvious)
- different door interior panels
- different mounting brackets
- different door sizes

Should I go on?

Knock yourself out.

As a side note, at 32 I would hope to got you can type/spell better than what you showed here.

While your at it, why don't you do your measurements on a NSX door panel for my coupe.

I mean they both have 2 doors, they gotta fit right?

Ok.... here goes people, I know this thread is about to be filled up with the doubts and what not, I will probably redo this whole thing in a build thread so clean it up a bit. I acquired some TSX USDM door panels and decided to do some comparisions to see if it's possible. Anyway the panels are real close in dimensions and will take work to go on the CD's door. I also got another idea I will be putting in the new build thread also. Euro R seats!!

The seats are a no brainer, there's actually a person currently with the fronts. (Exccord) It appears you may have bought the rear seats from the same guy he bought his fronts.

You still have the problem with the door panels.

- size
- shape around dash
- mounting brackets
- etc

And as I mentioned earlier your rears are completely off

Yeah the seats are gonna be a mess trying to find the fronts. Yeah the panels for the front was not cute at all once they got next to the curvature of our dash boards, I didn't like the way it looked . The rear was actually not that bad. (more pics soon) And door closure was ok too but the inner seal was non existant on the TSX side. [IMG][/IMG]
So I'll probably jus go with the interior color change like the guy who did all black with the RSX front set up on Honda society. And wait aroung for the Euro r front to show up.... I was thinking bout the searching for the EVO VI seats also. The edition for some rally dude would work for me also... lost these to someone on ebay earlier this year too man!! SOMEONE FIND ME THESE SEATS please.

Would've never guessed the rear door on the TSX is smaller than the Accords haha.

Good luck on those seats. I'm guessing you're fabbing brackets for the armrests?

Doesn't look like either one will drop in with stock setup.
