Default crx starting problem

so i got a crx with a b16 motor...practically changed mostly everything..meaning the parts that the car needs to start with like fuel pump, fuel filter, new distributor assembly, spark plugs, and wires

for some reason it wont start it would crank but nothing happens...

soo we tried using starter fluid it would work for like less than a minute then it would die out and if i press the throttle, the car would slowly begin to drop its idle..like the harder i press the faster it goes down and if let go of the throttle it would be on idle again

can anyone help me?

I went out to my garage and thought about what was goin on. A gas tank has baffles in it so I dropped my gas tank down so all the gas would go to the back of the tank. When I done that I tried cranking my car and it fired up and run smooth. I raised the gas tank back up and tightened the straps up. dropped the car down on the ground. Its running fine now. Just like stock.
