Greddy sp2 on HF Qest.?
Just checking I already did a bit of searchin/reading on HT but just want to make sure. I know if they make it for the car/crx it should fit. But anyways question is when I searched for gredddy sp2 on crx I read some of the post that said that the greddy sp2 on a HF has a fittment issues due to the header? Is that right? On a stock CRX that is, yeah I still got the crappy engine
Anyways I went ahead and bought the greddy sp2 already so
used for $130 in good/mint shape didn't want to pass it up and buy it new or some fart can
Well let ma know thanks guys

Yeah i read that on the post(s) that I searched as well...just want to know if it'll be direct bolt on for my STOCK(motor) HF? Anyone else? Of do I have to swap if I want to put the SP on
Thanks though
Thanks though
Ok, on an HF you would need to convert to the SI exhaust system. Meaning using the SI exhaust manifold oem or aftermarket and the si or dx cat convertor and your good to go
The reason they say fitment issues is because the HF's originally used that weird cat between the manifold and downpipe. The HF exhaust was set up for best fuel economy possible.
, while the SI was setup for performance

Yep
HF = header cat
Si = regular cat
You could always put another cat on after your HF exhaust manifold though, and that would work just fine also.

I don't really want to swap yet
, only want to put on the exhaust. Okay so now I got to find myself a DX or SI exhaust manifold and install it to my HF engine and it all should bolt on from there on?
If so guess i'll have try and find an exhaust manifold and if I can't guess I'll try the<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by CapnKrunch »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">

And that would be just putting a cat after my HF exhaust manifold and it all should work? <---anyone else, I wouldn't know so anyone else on this? But wouldn't this make it shorter or longer? Well thanks guys if any additional info. let me know otherwise THANKS

You need to use the si manifold man...and grab a used cat from a si or dx and thats it. Yes it will bolt to your HF motor and no it won't be longer. I did the exact same thing on my HF. If you don't want to do it, sell me your exhaust since i am looking for a RSR or greddy!!

Hummmm well not sure on the putting at cat to my HF manny
but I'll try to find a Si manny if not Dx and then put the exhaust on if not (if I can't find one Si or Dx locally) I'll just hold on to the SP and when I swap I'll put it on instead but thanks maybe if I decided to sell the REX i'll post it on HT (hopefully never
) Good thing I bought the thing (greddy SP) right away cuz some guy was going to pick it up for the full asking price $150 but lucky I called the owner 1st so he held it for me and got it for $130
would have bought it brand new $400+
