Default Passing caRR emission question

Recently got a notice saying that I need to get a smog test for my R. Currently I have a a greddy catback, AEM CAI, and basic DC headers. I was wondering if this would pass/fail the emission testing. If so, is there a way I can get it to pass?? we are also using premium gas which may also help with cleaner emission.

Not sure where you live, but here in CA, your R will fail visual inspection and most won't smog your car because of after market parts.

I'm in cali. And as long as all the aftermarket parts you have installed have Carb numbers on them, then your fine.

Ill be testing emissions in Chicago(and i have to drive back to Penn) But I also forgot to mention I have nitrous installed. but there its there only for show. The previous owner had it installed and I never took it out. Would I fail inspection for that even though it doesn work??

My cousin has just recently bought a em1 . He has been having trouble passing the emission test . last time he took it they plug it in the obd2 plug & told him that they were having problems reading the ECU ... The car runs fine its not throwing CEL .do u you think because of the mods that he has ??. well here is the link of the car ..

If no sticker, he shouldn't be touching the car at all. If the sticker is there, he then procede to the next step. Most of the leagal turbos that I know of are the ones came from the car manufactors. The rest are lable for "off road use only".
