I have looked into upgrading my radiator to an aluminum one, but all the radiators I can find are made for a manual transmission. Does anyone know where I can get an aftermarket radiator for an auto transmission? I have a 93 civic EX with a ZC swap. I have contacted several distributors and vendors and they all say just to get the "Optional" transmission cooler. If this is the case, would anyone here know where to mount it? They say it's universal but I have never even heard of this.

 

mount it anywhere where it will get airflow. it is pretty much like an external oil cooler. You'll just need longer lines to go from your tranny to the new cooler.

 

cool thanks, so basically i can purchase any radiator just add the oil cooler. just hope I have room somewhere, if not guess i go another route. thank you.

 

First of all, are you having cooling issues with your motor? There are other alternatives to cool a motor more efficiently than just getting an aluminum radiator.

 

no not any cooling issues at all, but I wanted to upgrade to an aluminum radiator slim fan etc. more light weight and compact. plus adds a little bling under the hood.
