the engine cranks but it wont start....

took out the wires and plugged the spark plugs too check if it has spark

only 1 and 3 has..

does that mean its the cap and rotor and wires or somthing else?

 

If you have only got spark at 1 and 3 then take the wires from 2 and 4 and put them on 1 and 3 and see if you get spark out of them. That will let you know if your wires are all good.

If they are pull the cap off and look for charing and corrosion on the terminals inside and on the rotor. It is probably a good idea to replace them anyways since there cheap.
