MP3 (Zune) in my car, turns off randomly??
Ok, so I recently got a Zune and a new CD player in my car to play it on. Its a new Pioneer deck with a headphone jack in the back. I use that to play my zune through. It is a deck that can be hooked to an ipod and have the ipod controls on the headunit, but stupid me, I have a zune. Anyway.
Problem: to listen to the music at a level I deem fit, I have to have the zune cranked all the way up, and then the HU cranked relatively high also. (What can I say, I like loud music) Anyway, the zune turns off randomly, and then today, it froze up, screen and all, and then worked magically after about an hour.
So whats going on? Am I overheating the zune by playing it on max volume? How can I fix this. Would using the USB port help the problem? I need my music.

I don't know much at all about the signal outputs from iPods/Zunes.
I'm assuming that you're running the wire into the deck off of the headphone jack? If you're running it at close to max volume, maybe it's heating up inside & causing your issues.
Is there an adapter for the Zune to send the output audio through the USB port as a line-level signal?

there is an adapter that I can use that will utilize the USB port, but I dont know much about it, and dont know if I would still have to crank the zune up to listen to it. I guess I will have to give it a try.

Well, in theory, if you use the usb output it will be a fixed output, so you will lose volume control on the zune itself. It may sound bad, but it's actually a good thing since the fixed output from portable devices is usually louder AND cleaner than the regular line level output.
