Default Shocks...........and the racers that love 'em

Okay guys this was my first time out at the track and was only able to get 4 runs in. Being that it was my first time (drag strip virgin) I know that with practice i could probably do a better job at it, but my best time was a measley 15.08 @ 90mph and then i ran a 15.1 at 89mph(sorry dont remember my 60ft times) so anyways I own a 96 civic 4dr DX with Gsr OBDII only mod is a header. and el chipo exahust. Ive done some lightning up of the car with CF hood, 15 slipys w/aziens, no airbags, no ps, no tar/carpet, and no front speakers and taken out other lil misc.

So here it is...I know that im riding on blown shocks, and I know that i need to replace them but, Will replacing my shocks imporove my ets? And if so by how much? I was thinking of going with KYB AGX

Thanx in advance your Fellow honda-techie tech. latz

not really. struts will improve times if you actually turn.

Blown to **** strits may hamper 1/4 mile times, but really i'd want new struts so the car would ride and handle better.

On a budget: KYB/AGX

On a slightly bigger budget: Koni Yellows

I've had both and they were both great.

They will help reduce wheel hop by stiffening up the back, and lessing the effects of weight transfer under acceloration.
