I want to get a vtec controller for my 98 lude. how much do they cost approximately, and where do i go to find this part. Would i be able to mount it underneath my deck where a similar size un-used compartment for Cd's is?

~300 new or cheaper. You can mount anywhere you want in the car. It kind of a waste to get that if you dont have any mods. Like mentioned, hondata or neptune would be beneficial(sp?)

yeah, simply setting vtec to engage earlier doesnt really do n e thing w/o tuning. u can find apexi vafc's on craigslist used sometimes for ~175
