I hear you should never drive your car to the show because the police station is right next to the show and they pop hoods.

I was also hearing last show some people got they're car broken to. I'm taking my beater car to the next show

 

those shows are so disapointing

 

when i went to last years san mateo HIN event i arrive there about 5 pm, and i saw not a whole lot of police, but they were out there, i left about 11 pm and saw a crap load of cops cars, easy tickets for cops

 

thats stupid
everyone drive their beater out there

My friend got his Civic stolen last year while we were inside. My Integra sat right next to where his Civic was stolen, untouched

He had some kind of alarm. Idk what kind. He didn't park in the lot, he was on Palm, one of the side streets. I think I heard someone's wheel got stolen in the actual parking lot though

 

If i take my em1 i gonna park right in the front, arrive like 1.5hr early

thieves love illegal **** more than the cops!

HIN is more of a party and then a car show... a lot of the BS is AS/NG... audio/video/vendors.. yada, yada, yada. there are always dope cars though not really worth it if thats the only reason your going. best to take lots of friends, drinks and a little smoke, haha.. IMO

definately take the beater unless you wanna babysit... I never trust my ride with all the damn tweekers out here in tha bay... then you end up missing a wheel or shift ****, broken windows, stolen cd's or jacked lugz.. why they always gotta do the most damage to steal the funkiest ****.

 

its doesnt matter if you go 2hrs early what makes you thinik you would have a parking at that time what if some people go earlier than you taught yararamean

 

Last year I went about 1hr early and there was parking right in the front.

 

im goin and not takin my car.

 

i went last year, and parked my car in my friends enclosed trailor, which was also in the parking lot. my car was untouched.

thinking of showing my car this year for the fun of it.

 

After all the crap I read that happens down there....
I'm gonna ask my mom to take me .... safer for my car

 

Its overly hyped up, this show has gotten much smaller and weaker as the prices have gone higher and higher. Its a corporate show, for alpine, clifford and and bs like that to make a buck. They can keep they're flyers and shyt...

Plus... SMPD sucks, trust me i know... i live here, and overall.. The cars arent really my style. I wont be going..

And for all the people who do go to the show when you go dont exit off the highway 92 exit on to el camino south and drive like 1 mile extra and you not only pass the cop station and police trap you can jump into the parking lot faster and away from the police

You gotta worry about San Mateo Sherrifs dept as well. Plus they have streetracing task forces come into san mateo randomly to take care of business..

I cant drive my car around here unless its straight from the house to the freeway, or freeway to the house. Its too big of a risk for me.. state ref tickets suck..

 

I heard from quite a few people that bay area police are pretty cool. Get the mommy mobile and car pool? lol

 

these shows are always lame...
