when do I change the brakes on my car? I read once a year, but being i purchased it used is their any of indicators?

I do hear a squealing sound but not all the time, its more like every couple of times of using the brake it would squeal a little bit.

 

take it to a shop, they'll know.

 

ur brake pads have wear indicators. when u hear them it means the indicator is hitting your rotor. how often do u have the wheels off ur car? every time i do my oil change i just do an overall inspection of the whole car, such as brakes, tires, suspension etc. its a good habit to have.

 

Does your pedal shake when the brakes are applied over speeds of 55mph? That would indicate warped rotors.
